In honor of the dog days of summer, it seemed only appropriate to focus on our furry friends and all of the ways pet parents use our white noise machines. And as always, actual words from our customers tell the story best. I mean, “recreational barking” – does that not strike a chord (or maybe an I-love-you-to-furballs-but-sometimes-you-annoy-the-heck-out-of-me nerve) with dog owners everywhere?
A lot of homes around the world have pets, in fact about 65% of US households own a pet. Some of us prefer that our pets sleep in our bed, while others choose to crate their furry friends for the night. According to Sleep.org, there are many positives and negatives to allowing your beloved pets to share your bed.
We tell a lot of “sound machine success stories” around Marpac, and one of our favorites features the canine companion of company co-owner Jimmy Sloan. Mason is his name, and he’s a super-sweet elderly golden retriever who has been known to shed hair around the office from time to time. Mason is also very well-trained – at least, when it comes to bedtime.
