MARPAC® WAKES UP AS YOGASLEEP®
A NEW BRAND FOR THE ORIGINAL SLEEP PRODUCTS COMPANY
Since 1962, Marpac LLC, has sold sleep - glorious, wake-up-feeling-fantastic-sleep - to consumers worldwide. Today the company announced a major rebranding to Yogasleep to reflect its growth as a consumer-first, sleep products company. The company was founded with the invention of the original white noise machine, now called the Dohm®. Millions of families, often across generations, use a Dohm to get (and stay) asleep every night. In recent years Yogasleep has expanded the Dohm family of products, offered new electronic multi-sound sleep machines and expanded into bedding with the purchase of direct-to-consumer mattress brand Yogabed®.
“Our products offer consumers improved health and wellness by helping them get better and deeper sleep,” said Co-CEO Jimmy Sloan. “The new brand name communicates that wellness-through-sleep promise to consumers in an instant and fits perfectly with our ambitious plans to expand our sleep products catalog profitably.”
Yogasleep has more than 60 employees and builds or assembles most of its units in the United States. All Dohm Classic and Dohm sound machines are assembled at its headquarters in Wilmington, N.C., and team members hand-sign a quality sticker placed on the bottom of each unit. The brand has already transitioned online (Yogasleep.com, and on its branded social channels to @yogasleepusa) and will flow through digital marketplaces, in packaging, and in retail in the coming months.
The rebranding includes a complete redesign of the company website, logo, color palette, and packaging to reflect the environment in which the brand competes; bedtime. The logo features a waxing moon and the color palette evokes the colors found from dusk to dawn.
