Sleeping Positions

Have you ever wondered what your favorite sleep position says about you? The most common positions include fetal, freefall (or stomach), back, log, starfish and yearner, although we know there are plenty of other positions out there. You might know which of these positions describe the way you sleep, but you might not know they can be an indication of your personality traits… let’s take a look!

A staggering 41% of participants in a sleep study were found to have slept in the fetal position, while 15% preferred the log position and 13%, the yearner. Let’s see what your sleeping position says about you…

Are you shy or sensitive? You might prefer to curl up into the fetal position, but that’s okay, who doesn’t like to ball up with a warm blanket?

Or maybe you are outgoing and like to give your pillow a big ol’ bear hug while sleeping on your stomach in the freefall position.

If that doesn’t sound like you, perhaps you are suspicious but open-minded and your go to sleep position is the yearner (where you lie on your side with your arms out in front of you).

No matter how you like to sleep, we hope you have a comfortable place to lie your head at night, but if not we can certainly help! For more information on what your sleeping position says about you, visit The Better Sleep Council.
