What was your New Year’s resolution? Every year millions of people make a promise to themselves that they will eat healthier, exercise more, watch less TV or just be more “present”.
Maybe you’ve already made your resolution and started off the year with a membership to a new gym, or perhaps you bought one of those fancy watches or fitness trackers to track your daily steps and calorie intake. These are all great ways to be healthier, but something that most people forget is that sleep is a very important part of your overall health.
According to an article by the National Institute of Health, “sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life and safety.”
