Not all of us are morning people. Let’s be honest, most of us probably hit snooze way too many times to count and drink a lot of coffee to try and cover up how exhausted we are. What if there were a few tips that you could follow to help you become a morning person? Would you accept the challenge?
According to Huffington Post, there are a few things you can try to help get your internal clock adjusted and on your way to becoming a morning person. Let’s take a closer look at a few of our favorites and for the full article, click here!
- Get more sleep
- No screens in the bedroom
- Stop pressing snooze
- Have a routine
- Expose yourself to natural light
Now some of these might be no brainers… get more sleep? Of course, this makes the list. If you want to be a morning person you have to stop fighting sleep and just go to bed when you’re tired. Getting more sleep will help you have the energy you need during the day! We’ve probably all heard the recommendation to not have screens in the bedroom. This can include TVs, phones, iPads and more. Most of us have at least one of these items in our bedroom and if you just can’t stand to part with your favorite device, simply set a time at night where its “lights out” and you can simply rest without the distractions.
The next few go hand in hand… STOP pressing snooze! We all want to delay getting out of bed, but if you continue to press snooze you are just delaying the inevitable and training your body that you should sleep in longer in the mornings! It’s time for you to tell your body NO and simply get up when that alarm goes off. Having a routine is also important for becoming a morning person. If you go to bed at the same time every day and wake up at the same time every morning you train your internal clock to become a morning person.
Sleep can sometimes be hard, but with a Yogabed Original mattress it doesn’t have to be. Sleep easy on your new memory foam mattress and although it certainly won’t help you become a morning person (because you definitely won’t want to get out of bed), it will help you fall asleep faster and leave you less tired in the morning!
